WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO BECOME A DESIGNER?
I ran a lot of VIP customer events, organised forums, seminars and team meetings with the main goal of creating unique experiences for guests and internal staff, in great locations and edgy themes. To find surprising interiors and make them work was one of the more challenging tasks. For more than 10 years I used to visit top Interior Trade shows around the globe searching for inspiration and possible new solutions. On one of those trips a decision was made to look further into the industry that excites me most and try myself at a new set of skills.
FROM WHERE DO YOU DRAW YOUR INSPIRATION?
I’m a world traveller with more than 80 countries visited, that gave me the sensibility to capture colours, shapes, textures, cultural perceptions, combination of materials. I’m convinced that ‘every interior is a story to be told, every space brings memories, and that uniqueness of great design is to be an inspiration for the ones who enjoy it. Life is full of challenges so why shouldn’t everyone be surrounded by beauty that brings the best of us? Sailing, Nature walks, Music festivals, Biennale, Art Basel, PAD, Antique exhibitions would be my escapes to recharge and find new direction.
WHAT DO YOU FEEL MAKES YOUR STYLE UNIQUE?
I love to create experiences that do not leave us indifferent; sometimes its bold and innovative for commercial spaces, sometimes it’s subtle but easy to recognise for residential. I’m in love with objects and collections that bring personality and uniqueness for each project. With contemporary luxury focus, I believe in affordable design that creates an enigmatic and invigorating atmosphere and brings smiles on faces when entering. The most precise answer would be I love people, I’m curious about their work, hobbies and what they find exciting. That’s why you find me meeting new people whenever I go, I’m ending up listening life stories and get invited to their most private journeys where we become friends. Attention to details, material properties and people’s emotions make me create spaces that my client’s love. Keep it small, keep it focus.
WHO ARE YOUR FAVOURITE INTERIOR DESIGNERS?
I love architecture and product design as much as interior design, so I would say Tabao Ando, Lee Broom, Marcel Wanders, Andrew Martin, Jaime Hayon, Patricia Urquiola.
